About Komi Nuvlo
Komi Nuvlo is an education leader, development practitioner and advocate for more inclusive, equitable and effective education systems, with 20 years of experience working across education delivery, teacher and school leadership development, programme implementation, research, monitoring and evaluation, partnerships, and inclusive education.
As the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Learning Catalyst Africa Limited, Komi provides the strategic leadership behind the organisation's work to strengthen learning, people, programmes, organisations and education systems. He leads LCA's work across education advisory and consulting, special and inclusive education, guidance and learner support, teacher and school leadership development, education programme design and implementation, research and evaluation, educational innovation, and partnerships and systems strengthening.
Over the course of his career, Komi has worked closely with teachers, school leaders, education organisations, development partners and other stakeholders to understand education challenges and translate ideas, evidence and expertise into practical action. His experience includes leading education programmes, developing and strengthening partnerships, supporting teacher and school leadership development, managing programme implementation, strengthening programme quality, using data and evidence for decision-making, and facilitating continuous learning and improvement.
A defining area of his professional expertise is special and inclusive education. Komi is passionate about education systems that recognise learner diversity rather than treating difference as a barrier. He believes that learners with disabilities and other diverse learning needs should not simply have access to education, but should be supported to participate, learn, thrive and access meaningful opportunities. His perspective also recognises the important role of families, guidance, learner support and positive transitions in shaping educational experiences and outcomes.
Komi brings together practical field experience, strategic thinking, evidence, collaboration and a strong commitment to inclusion. He believes that sustainable education improvement happens when good ideas are connected to evidence, evidence is translated into action, people are strengthened, innovation responds to real needs, and partnerships create shared ownership of change.
Through Learning Catalyst Africa, he is building an organisation that goes beyond delivering projects or producing reports. His ambition is to help strengthen the people, organisations and systems that make quality education possible, while creating better and more equitable opportunities for every learner.
Every Learner. Every Opportunity.
